Trump sends shockwaves through DC as top Republican 'Deep State' lawmaker is knifed for close ties to CIA:

Donald Trump has caused a significant stir in Washington, D.C., following the unexpected replacement of a key House Republican responsible for overseeing the CIA and FBI. Speaker Mike Johnson surprised lawmakers on Wednesday by announcing the removal of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner.

Turner, who has led the committee since January 2023, faced criticism from Trump supporters within the House Freedom Caucus, who accused him of maintaining a 'sycophantic' rapport with CIA and FBI officials.

While Johnson asserted that Trump did not directly influence Turner's dismissal, sources indicated that the president-elect was actively involved in the decision. Trump has reiterated his commitment to 'drain the swamp' and is anticipated to focus on the intelligence community, which he believes has conspired to prevent his return to the White House as part of a 'Deep State' agenda.

To spearhead this MAGA transformation, Trump has appointed Tulsi Gabbard as the new director of National Intelligence and Kash Patel to lead the FBI. These nominations have drawn criticism from establishment figures due to Gabbard and Patel's outspoken views against the 'Deep State.' Many liberals remain skeptical about the existence of such a conspiracy against Trump.

A source close to Turner's ousting revealed to the Daily Beast that Trump was directly involved, viewing Turner as essentially an ally of the intelligence community.
